トライアングルチェアは手によって掴みやすいアームを三角形とし、その三角形が回転して背もたれになっている。
背もたれを繋げてしまうと木材のロスが多くなってしまうため、あえて繋げないかたちとすることで、テーブルの中心に向かうような座り方を生み出した。

デザイナーのスケッチを工場側が形にする方法ではなく、全ての部材を３Dモデルとして作成し、デザインの確認、構造解析、ディテール検討を行い、その３Dデータで木材をそのまま削り出すという「デザイン≒制作」の設計手法を確立している。

The Triangular Chair features an armrest in the shape of a triangle, which can be easily grasped with the hand. The triangle serves as the backrest, and by not connecting the backrest, the chair encourages a seating posture facing the center of the table, reducing wood waste that would have resulted from connecting the backrest.

Instead of having the designer’s sketch translated into a product by the factory, the design of the Triangular Chair was established through a “design equals production” method. This involved creating 3D models of all components, conducting design checks, structural analysis, and detail considerations, and directly cutting the wood using the 3D data. This approach helps to eliminate any discrepancies between the design and the final product.
